WINTER CAMP 05'
WINTER CAMP 05'
This year we were at Camp Oest and had a great time,
the temperature was in the 'teens at times. The theme this year was "The Amazing Race"
Each group of kids had their own lodge/cabin, V-crew and younger scouts.
The adults filled in the rest of the spots in
the cabins.
Everyone enjoyed all of the meals that were had at
the mess hall, the adults cooked for eveyone, and boy was it
tasty!
Now onto the pictures of winter camp, as taken by
our scoutmaster with his digital camera

This is the cabin that the V-Crew spent the trip in; the other cabin was basically the same (fireplace/kettle and many bunks)

This was the first morning, and the V-Crew was tired (we stayed up 'till about 2am). Then everyone moved through the line for food (pancakes and bacon).

Here, the kid's table is busy eating and talking about the day ahead, but mostly eating. Afterward, the adults talked about what was going on during the day, "The Amazing Race"

Here's Mr Andrews...looks like he needs some coffee...

This is Matt's station, the groups had to lash a flag pole out of 4 poles that were there and binder's twine. Looks like this group needs a little help.

In between groups, things got a little boring.(That's me on top of the table, and Matt on the bench)
It was really cold out there.

While we were waiting for dinner on saturday, some of the younger scouts worked on advancement with help from the older scouts and adults.

Here the adults are in the kitchen, busy getting ready to serve the turkey and to put the pie in the oven.

Here, everyone is eating dinner (turkey, masked potatoes, corn, stuffing, biscuits, gravy and salad, all delicious). It was very good, and there was pie (apple or cherry) to be had for desert. Afterward, there was a tremendous game of Capture The flag

Here, everyone is getting served the afore mentioned dinner.
