Troop 995 Aluminum Recycling Program

Troop 995 collects ALL forms of scrap aluminum to recycle. The troop uses the money earned from the recycling program to help defray the costs of the troop. Items such as advancement badges, merit badges, camping equipment, etc are some of the materials purchased with this money.

The most common source of aluminum that is recycled is aluminum cans. Cans are collected every meeting night. Please crush them and put them in a plastic bag. Members of Troop 995 are encouraged to save aluminum cans and bring them to the meetings.

Besides cans, other aluminum products that have been accepted are:
  • Aluminum siding
  • Sailboat masts
  • Beach chairs (only the aluminum frame, please)
  • Wire
All aluminum products of this nature must be dropped off at Anthony Rezendes house, or other arrangements made prior to the troop meeting.

If you have any questions or would like to have a large amount of scrap aluminum picked up, please contact Anthony Rezendes at (410) 647-4934.
